Team Warped
We need your help!
If you were directed here, you are not yet a member of Team Warped. If
you are successfully submitting blocks of work to Distributed.net, you
are not yet giving credit to Team Warped.
This can be caused by two things:
- You really have joined the team, but have not
submitted any work since joining, or Distributed.net has not updated their web site yet.
- Never mind... Check the Cowboy web site in 2-3 days
and see if the problem goes away
- You have not joined the team properly
If you haven't joined the team, please do!
Joining the Team
Follow these simple steps:
- Install the client, if you haven't already
- Let it run for several hours
- Click on the running DNET client window. It should be
slowly processing blocks of work.
- Press Control-C to halt the client.
- Open an OS/2 or DOS (in the case of Windows) command
prompt window and CD to the directory containing the DNET client
executable
- Enter the following command. This will cause your
client to send any completed blocks to the DNET server:
dnetc -flush - Restart
the client
- Wait for the distributed.net server to send you an
email stating your user name (your email address) and password.
- Go to Team
Warped page and click on the "I want to join this team" link
- Enter your user name and password from the email
distributed.net sent you.
- You are in, and welcome to the team!
- Run your computer(s) as much as possible!
